Consciousness

  • Do we really understand our minds?

  • Is there one purpose for the mind -or more?

  • Do we know where thoughts come from?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 We think without effort.  Then again, there are times our thoughts seem to take effort. -WHY?
Have you noticed that effortless thought is quite beautiful?
Could it be that effortless thought is from elsewhere?  Could this be our ‘spiritual’ self or mind, or even more than that!
Are we assuming too much to think they are of our ‘self’ at all?
Can we separate the divine from the self, or do we do that all of the time?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I struggled for years trying to figure out why all the thoughts I had were in my head.

WARNING:    THIS IS NOT FOR --the non-progressive thinker.

During my own journey of deep searching, around 1981, I actually asked to understand, what is evil and if it really  existed.  I learned that it exists ONLY IF you ‘will’ it to, or if you choose to believe in it. CHOICE!

This was powerful to me.  I found that we can muster up all kinds of stuff, and we can be consumed by this 'illusion'. Yet, there was still something I could not grasp.  Something still bothered me.

More study revealed something even more awesome.  Hopefully it can also help you.  It was and is --not easy!

  It involves a 'process' of learning.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In teaching riding, and coaching, I recognized that ‘something’ happens to the rider when thinking or concentrating too much on their riding.  I see something around the shoulders, head and neck of the rider that is difficult to understand.  There is something there, that keeps getting in the way of rider progress.
    The head tilts a little, and the shoulders round themselves.  There is a concentration of something within this area, almost like an imaginary ‘ball of energy'.  It is distracting OR attracting to the rider, and seems to hold the rider down, or rather back.
    It almost taps the rider on the shoulder, to remind them to think.  My constant reminder to riders to help release this energy, is to blow down.  This only makes a temporary correction.   I asked myself why do I have to repeat this so often to help that rider.
    This seemed like another natural phenomenon.  Is this a human instinct?  Impulse?  Or what is it?  So we continued to search for the answer.
    With more study, we begin to understand that the human Ego, is not only our definition of self.  It can also be an energetic hindrance to our higher being, or, our Spiritual Self. I even question IF we should say spiritual and ‘self’ together.
    The spiritual is VAST, universal, omnipresent.  To identify our ‘self’ with this phenomenon is to pacify self, for the human ego to feel complete within it's 'self' (or own) identity.  The ego needs or desires to feel it has ownership of the ALL.  The ego wants it’s OWN existence to be it’s own ‘oneness’!  The EGO does not want us to believe that the Spirit (of God) is more important, than the ego (or self).
    Isn’t it a shame that the ‘little’ self (or ego), has the need to say, ‘hey, this is ME!  Look at ME, for this is who I am’.  This little ego, is ‘nothing’ compared to the universe the ALL.  Yet that ridiculous ego still rants to become ‘self’ defined.  Pay attention here. This isn’t easy!
 This ball of self energy is the tough one to conquer.  It is persistent!  It constantly reminds us, that we are NOT of the universe connected to ALL knowledge [or God], but just 'ME', or the 'I'.  And you only then learn what that ego (the me) gives the ‘me’ privilege to learn.  It is a power issue!
    Instead of being allowed to ‘absorb’ knowledge or truth (as with the Spirit of God), the ego places all kinds of trickery into our heads.  You are told (by the ego) that --this is what must be learned.
As you read this you may actually question why you should even learn this.
There becomes a challenge within your own mind.
You struggle to concentrate, even now, to train, or allow yourself to learn.
  This is not natural!  It can become a difficulty.
    I have learned [perhaps by my near death experience [NDE] that to learn naturally, you will absorb knowledge.  To work at learning what the ego says you ‘must’ learn, leaves you/me with a struggle.  Herein, lives the argument of both responsibility, and concentration. Have fun with this one. Perhaps a NDE just thinks differently!
    For some, concentrated effort comes easily.  God Bless them.  For others, it is difficult.  Some individuals are simply logical, and then there are the others, perhaps the searching, or the spiritual.
Is this the struggle between right brain, and left brain?
  Do we seek ‘balance’ or preference, or do we feel compelled to be both?
Logically, and/or intuitively?
    Finding our own (so-called normal) ‘path’ is a dilemma placed on us by society and family. We must find our own way to contribute to the whole of our future, or we would be classified as worthless.
    Just for fun, is someone with family money, who does not have to work, or want to, worthless?  Why?
    I would bet on an argument with this one.  Why work, if you don’t have too, right?  So what will happen to this person?  Will they have to find something to identify themselves with?  Will their ego seek definition?  How?  Just look around.
    Why do people get into trouble?  Why do some make their ‘self’ known by un-acceptable behavior?  Crime?  Being carefree?  etc etc…  Is it to define ‘self’, to be recognized? Is it perhaps for the EGO?
    The ego seeks to be recognized, or the ego will let you know how unhappy you are, because you are nothing to the EGO.  That ego will haunt you and hunt you down.  It is powerful!  Look around!  Just watch it work!
    How many people are having difficulties with mental health issues like depression, anxiety etc?
    This ego is just like the evil I studied in my 1980 search, and this was a real revelation for me.
    The ego is the same as evil, in the lack of respect for our true selves, being in God’s image, or in and of the Spiritual, of God, of the ‘Spirit’.
     You can not be a master of TWO GODS, so scripture says!  Now, this begins to make more sense to me.
     Yes, I thought this second God meant physical idols, the occult, Buddha, the whatever or whoever belief, in place of God -or the Trinity’.  Is this meant to confuse the religious, or the non-religious.  I don't think so. It is to understand the self, and who we really are, and to continue to question this, to grow in understanding.
In fact, I now believe that the second God, we make the mistake of worshiping, is that HUMAN EGO, or the SELF!
    Ego struggles for our attention to trick and divert us from our real source, to rob us of truth!   It claims itself -the you, you are convinced you are, as being so important to have all this self power!
 Bear with me… This is not religion class!
    I have news for you.  You are nothing more than a grain of sand or just one atom –without God, without knowing the ‘Spirit’ of God.  You will struggle and worm around, seeking some other kind of power.  It will never satisfy you, other than to convince you, that you are enough.  You might even believe it for awhile.   Your ego will relish in trying to make those who do know the Spirit pf God, miserable!
    TEST THIS ONE!  Check out the others you meet!  Why do they do as they do?  Is it the lack of a belief or awareness in the ‘Spirit’ of/or God?  Or is their belief in the ‘self’? Why do people struggle so, within their own ego?
    Is this the confusion, the ego wants to plant in us?  Is the ego the deception, or -the deceiver?
    Is it not evil or the devil. Is evil the human ego that always deceives us. Good food for discussion or debate. Have fun!
    This may take time to figure out, to get settled, in preparation for the ‘Spirit’ (of God) to dwell within, to fill you with awesomeness.   You will eventually be spilling over with inner peace and joy.  Enough!  Become aware!!!
I am sorry if we have seemingly attacked you!
 It is the ego we want to attack, and I am sure that you feel a bit of an insult.  This is not intentional.
We are trying to challenge you to consciousness!  Have we?
In his master work, Quantum Healing,, Deepak Chopra says that remissions of cancer in terminal patients have
one thing in common: a major shift in attitude or consciousness.
